The Experience
-
Daily Embodiment Practices
Each day will open and close with embodiment practices meant to gently remind ourselves of what comes when we are grounded in spaciousness and ease. Enveloped in nature, we’re encouraged to nurture our inner knowing and strengthen the medicine within us through loving presence.
Each morning begins in quietude, taking space to intentionally connect with your mind, spirit, energy, and body with softness. Evening practices will wind down the nervous system to make space for integration and prime the body for some well-deserved sleep.
Some examples of practices will be: morning pages + slow medicine movement, restorative and yin yoga, intuitive movement + release, and somatic envisioning meditations nestled in plenty of comfy blankets and pillows: your on rest nest.
-
Rituals and Restoration
Emerging from a winter of busy-ness between the holidays and the new year, space and slowness is often what we long for.
Rituals are ways to honor the sacred, to commune with ourselves and our intentions. The Spring Equinox is the perfect time to welcome new beginnings as we transmute the long nights into a place of renewal.
We’ll be preparing ourselves for a few rituals over the week. Arriving the afternoon of the Spring Equinox, we’ll gather at an opening ceremony to simply land and share intentions. Mid-day workshops will offer additional tools and practices to support you in reconnecting with your inner knowing. With our time together culminating in a Burning Bowl Ceremony that invites us into some energetic + somatic spring cleaning (and intention setting) before a fun evening of letting loose at a Silent Disco before a closing gathering.

Nourishing Farm-to-Table Meals
Food is medicine and having access to fresh, organic meals made with love and intention is such a gift. To enjoy delicious food with incredible company - an even deeper way to share connection and bonding.
I’m thrilled to partner with an incredible chef Jes, whose mantra nourishing bodies, nourishing souls aligns so deeply with my own. Meals will be hyperlocal, as she works with the Mendo Lake Food Hub - a place that sources produce from local farmers in Lake and Mendocino counties.
With three meals each day, we’re not only focused on nourishing our spirits, but also our bodies. It’ll be a time where we’ll prioritize connection with each other over devices. Any and all dietary presences will be accommodated, just let us know.
The Land
Whispertree Retreat, nestled between two ridges, makes up a sub-watershed of the Navarro River, offering miles of trails and expansive, pristine views of Anderson Valley. An ideal destination and hidden-gem for those seeking natural beauty and a more grounded and sustainable pace of life, you’ll find a rich diversity of wildlife and plants giving visitors a robust sense of aliveness and beauty leading visitors to describe Whispertree’s land as “magical.”

The idea of Slow Medicine was truly born out of experience of nature's potency.
In this day and age, it's so easy to move away from ourselves - into our devices, our jobs, keeping up with consumerism, social media, overstimulation, that we can forget how to come back home.
These 5 days are a way to choose disconnect from external influences so you can reconnect with your inner knowing. From that stillness and spaciousness, only wisdom (and medicine) can come forth.
-
The first time we visited Whispertree, we were blown away. The serenity, the spaciousness. It was the perfect place to retreat from the city. It is also a beautiful place that encourages radical self reliance and celebrates self expression by showcasing nature's beauty.

Whispertree is a 2.5 hour drive from San Francisco and less than an hour inland from the Mendocino Coast.
Whispertree is most accessible by car. If you need assistance in finding a ride or wanting to share your car for a carpool, I’d be happy to help connect you with fellow attendees.
-
If you are flying into the Bay Area, I recommend flying into the OAK or SFO airports (about 2.5 hours away), which will have more direct flights than STS (which is approximately 1h and 10 minutes away).
From San Francisco, Anderson Valley is a 2.5-3 hour drive north up the 101, where you’ll take the 253 south west to arrive at the retreat center.Once you turn off to the CA-253, it's a slightly windy road up. Be sure to build in travel and traffic time.
